8th Grade White

YBA started off the one day tournament a sleepy but woke up and gained momentum. As the day got longer we got stronger finishing with 2 strait wins!

1st game was we lost 31-41 to Chico Rim Rockers. The Rim Rockers were not imposing but won by playing team basketball and made the extra passes. Justin Holmes was a beast near the basket and Shane Bayne played inspirational with his all over the court mentality. We got a boost of potential with new player 6'5 Center Joe Worthy he will be a very imposing force once he gets comfortable and imposes his will on his opponents.

The 2nd Game VS Davis the Dawgs turned up the Defense with its aggressive press and half court trap. We held the Davis team to 38 points and was very energized by Justin Holms taking a charge in the 3rd quarter.

In the final game for 3rd Place the YBA White team again turned up the Defense and holding the Marin Storm team to 25 points. Inspired by Grant Mcelvain 9 points and 11 rebounds, Justin Kinney 14 points and Shanes Baynes 5 steals.

Winning easily 41-25. Play of the game was a back door bucket to Shane Bayne from Justin Kinney. The team continues to get better each week!
