The YBA Varsity White team started the weekend out rough with a close loss to Sierra Express 37-44, and to Chico Tropics 36-48, but bounced back on Sunday with a strong win over N Your Court. In the first game we had offensive plays by Quincy Shelby and Bryson Bryant and some good defensive stops from Austin Hightower and Derek Ainsworth. In the second game we had huge plays by Colton Nelson, Derek Ainsworth and Kyle Peterson. There was tremendous defense by Garret Rodriguez and Darren Centi. For Sunday’s game Michael Burkhalter led the team to victory with an impressive effort both offensively and defensively. Colton Nelson, Darren Centi, and Quincy Shelby all had solid games to help with the win.
