JV Black-April 24-25 Tahoe Qualifier

Game 1 - The team opened the Xtreme Hoops Tahoe Qualifier vs. Team Cal
in the 1st round. We started off slow against Team Cal but fought back
to tie the game at halftime. The 2nd half was dominated by the black
team, only giving up 9 points in the half and cruised to an easy
victory. Carter Beatty led the black team in scoring while the team
showed great passing and unselfishness.

Game 2 - YBA Black played the Chico Tarheels and dominated from the
opening tip. After the 1st quarter, the score was 12-0. The team showed
a balanced attack and continued to dominate on the defensive end. The
team hasn't given up more than 32 points in their last 5 games.

Game 3 - YBA Black advanced to the championship game on Sunday and met
up with YBA Blue for the championship. Both teams decided to split the
teams and have a fun scrimmage. It worked out well for both teams and
the parents got to see an enjoyable game.

We travel to Oakland next weekend to play in the Drew Gooden
Invitational. Black will look to continue with their early season
success and stay undefeated. After this weekend the team improved to
14-0. GO DAWGS!
