YBA 22, Yellow Jackets 7th 21
The Dawgs were in control of this game throughout the 2nd and 3rd quarter. The front line of Bryce Crouch and Mitchell Holt led the way. The Jackets extended their defense in the 4th quarter and we were unable to capitalize, so they closed the gap and finally took the lead with about a minute remaining. Grady Collins hit a go-ahead jumper with 8 seconds remaining, and the team held in for the victory!
Offensive Player: Bryce (6 points, 4 assists)
Defensive Player: Mitch (helped hold the Jackets' impressive big man in check)
Best Hustle: Jared (trying to bring weak-side help)
Best Attitude: Grady (kept his head in the game despite missing shots early, paid off at the end)
YBA 43, Folsom Force Red 46 (OT)
This was a heartbreaking loss for our boys in black. After YBA led 19-10 at halftime, the Folsom team got hot from outside to tie the game at 28 going into the 4th quarter. After several more ties and lead changes, we led by 2 with under a minute remaining. Folsom tied the game with about 20 seconds left and then prevailed in overtime.
Offensive Player: Bret Lynch (10 points, 4 assists), Grady (11 points)
Defensive Player: Jackson Sterling (5 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals)
Best Hustle: Bryce
Best Attitude: Max (bounced back from early turnovers)
YBA 55, Forrest Lake Christian 9th 25
The team moved the ball very well in this game against the scrappy Forrest Lake side. Mitch was a force inside throughout and finished with 10 points, 14 boards, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. Max O'Rourke scored 14 points off the bench. The team moved the ball very well in this game and for the tourney as a whole.
